Well, with my front cover complete, and most of the back cover designed and written, I started looking into the final cost of the book.

Because my book has so many full-color illustrations, the selling price would need to be high – much higher than I thought.

As a new writer, I can’t price myself out of the market.

So this weekend, I decided to make the first release of my book, an e-book.

Releasing it as an e-book will have the following benefits:

Very low price ($2.99 US to $4.99 US)

I can include ALL the color illustrations

It will be easily updateable

You can’t tear out the pages and use it to line a bird cage

I am now discussing the additional costs and timeframes to release the book in all the major e-book formats, including the Amazon Kindle, B&N Nook, KOBO, and iBook.

I think this is the right thing to do.

I’ll post the cover art and title shortly.

I’m sure it won’t win a Nobel prize, but I’m sure it will be popular with the uneducated masses.

Bazinga.
