I try to stay out of politics when I write my blogs.

I lead such an exciting life, that there are literally hundreds of alternative topics for me to write about-cybersecurity, clown porn, even Scarlett Johansson’s new hair style.

But for today, the topic is going to be politics.

And where to start?

Let me just pick a subject and see where it takes me.

The new White House Press Secretary said Trump’s inauguration was bigly huge. The biggest ever. His exact words were:

“This was the largest audience to ever witness an inauguration, period.”

It wasn’t.

In addition to the photographic evidence, the DC Metro Authority said it was nowhere near the size of the first Obama inauguration. In fact, the Women’s March on Washington the next day drew almost twice as many participants.

Kellyanne Conway defended the lying Press Secretary by explaining that his statements were alternative facts.

Um. Ok.

I hate to tell you Kellyanne, there are facts, and there are alternatives, but there are no alternative facts. Alternative facts are lies.

Politicians have always been corrupt. Sure, there’s a handful of good ones, but for the most part, getting elected to Congress is like hitting the lottery. It’s time to back the Brink’s truck up to the doors, and take the people in your <insert TOWN, CITY, DISTRICT, STATE> to the proverbial cleaners.

What amazes me though, is the whole Trump factor- what’s been going on lately.

Dishonesty and corruption used to be hidden from the citizenry, but since Donald Trump hit the scene, it’s out in the open, and no one seems to care.

Let’s go back to Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s liar-in-chief. She actually lied more than Trump did. Trump pushed the birther issue for years, and when he finally decided to let it rest, Kellyanne told Face the Nation:

“This started with Hillary Clinton’s campaign, number one. Number two, it was Donald Trump who put the issue to rest when he got President Obama to release his birth certificate years later…”

Wow.

After Meryl Streep’s speech, Kellyanne Conway said this on Fox & Friends:

“We have to now form a government, and I’m concerned that somebody with a platform like Meryl Streep is also, I think, inciting people’s worst instincts.”

Really Kellyanne? It sounds EXACTLY like the campaign you ran for Trump.

And speaking of President Trump, today he announced that he won’t be releasing his tax returns.

Here’s what good ol’ Kellyanne had to say about that:

“The White House response is he’s not going to release his tax returns. We litigated this all through the election. People didn’t care.”

An ABC News-Wall Street Journal poll released earlier this month said 74% of Americans wanted Trump to release his tax returns, including 49% percent of his own supporters.

More lies from Kellyanne.

And the Republican party has to be the biggest bunch of hypocrites ever.

Remember the Access Hollywood video?

Mike Pence penned a letter last year saying how offended he was by the Access Hollywood thing.

Paul Ryan said he was “sickened”.

Mitch McConnell asked for Trump to “apologize directly to women and girls everywhere, and take full responsibility.”

Reince Priebus said, “No woman should ever be described in these terms or talked about in this manner. Ever.”

Ted Cruz said, “These comments are disturbing and inappropriate, there is simply no excuse for them.”

Marco Rubio said, “…it was impossible to justify.”

Guess what?

Each one of these people supported and voted for Trump.

Way to sell those souls, guys.

If you want to know how this presidency is going to go…just look at the very first thing the Republicans did this month- they tried to get rid of the house committee on ethics. With all the problems in the world….Russia hacking our infrastructure, healthcare concerns, global terrorism, possible conflicts of interest…you decide the first order of business is to get rid of the people who keep you honest?

Luckily, there was a huge public uproar, and they weren’t able to do it.

And what happened the day Trump became President? Anything related to LGBT, climate change, or healthcare disappeared from the official white house website.

If the Republicans expect to stay in power for four more years, they better tone things down a bit, pay attention to demonstrators,  and lay off the caffeine.

When government used to work, both sides would work with each other. Now neither side is willing to give. All they do is take. When the Repubturds won’t even put a judge on the SC, then things are really bad.

Until both sides work together, nothing is going to improve. The Fed government swamp really needs to be drained. Everyone needs to go and we need to start over with term limits. But you are right. The hypocrisy is just ridiculous. Trump was elected president without ever taking a stand on any issue.

Shady shady! She’s got a lot to answer for and it seems that she’s simply writing her own version of reality. Suggestions for a therapeutic way to channel her anger or whatever inside her that’s driving this crazy-making behavior?
